Description
The isNet DiagM PA is a stationary PROFIBUS PA diagnostic and master module. When used in conjunction with the isNet Lite (head end), this module enables the creation of gateways that allow direct access to PROFIBUS PA devices from Ethernet without the need for a DP/PA segment coupler. This allows, for example, existing system components with PROFIBUS PA to be directly connected to modern Ethernet fieldbuses such as PROFINET.
Connection to a PROFIBUS PA segment is made via pluggable screw terminals. Up to five modules can be connected to the isNet Lite head end. This allows for a maximum of 5 PROFIBUS PA channels to be operated via a single head station.
In addition to master functionality, the modules offer extensive diagnostic capabilities: network participant list, error statistics, event log, and telegram recording.
